New York City Doughboys
Bronx Victory Memorial - also called the Mosholu Parkway Doughboys. Located on a median of
the Mosholu Parkway at Hull Avenue. Sculptor - Jerome Connor.
Washington Heights-Inwood Memorial by sculptor Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney who would go on
to be one of the organizers for the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Located on a circular base
that is enscribed with the names of those who served from the neighborhood. Located at
Broadway and 167th St.
Clinton Doughboy located in DeWitt Clinton Park at 11th Avenue and West 52nd Street.
The famous Flanders Fields poem is enscribed on the base. Soldier holds a poppy in
rememberance of the war dead. Dedicated Nov 11 1929. Sculptor - Burt W. Johnson
Father Duffy Memorial  - famous chaplain of the NY Irish based 69th regiment - nicknamed "The
Fighting 69th". The 69th was re-designated the 165th Infantry and served in the 42nd "Rainbow
Division". As far as I know they were the only NY based regiment that did not serve in a primarily NY
based division. The 42nd was called the Rainbow Division because it was made up of units from all
over the US.   Located in Times Square - Broadway and 46th St. Sculptor - Charles Keck.
Chelsea Doughboy - located Chelsea Park , 9th Avenue and 28th St. Dedicated April 7 1921.
